    • Follow up appointments are charged at $120, with a Medicare rebate of $42.30.

    • Phone appointments are charged at the same rates.

    • Pensioner discounts are available upon request.

    • Post-operative appointments within the standard 6 week period are included in the surgical fee.

Private health funds do not contribute to outpatient consultation fees.

Fees for workers’ compensation and motor vehicle insurance patients are billed directly to the insurer.

  • Privately Insured and Self-Funded Patients

Surgical fees are subsidised by Medicare and your health fund, however there is often an out of pocket ‘gap’ to pay. Different health funds often provide varying benefits for the same procedure. Please contact Dr Perret’s rooms directly if you have any questions, though please be aware that we are sometimes unable to provide an accurate quote until after your initial consultation.

It is recommended you confirm with your private health fund that your surgery is covered, and we can assist you with this process. A detailed quote including any out of pocket expenses is always provided prior to surgery.

In general, health funds will cover your hospital fees which are a significant amount. Postoperative treatments such as physiotherapy and hand therapy usually attract out of pocket expenses.

Workers’ Compensation and Motor Vehicle (Insurance Commission of WA) Patients

Surgery costs for workers’ compensation and motor vehicle insurance patients are billed directly to the insurer with no out of pocket cost.
